Terms of Service

These terms cover Nova's Dominion: the website, the browser game and the Windows app, published by Beckham Enterprises LLC. By playing, you agree to them. They are short on purpose.

1. The game

Nova's Dominion is a strategy game. You may play it for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. The story, art, music, sound and software are ours or licensed to us; you may not copy, sell or redistribute them, or make a competing product from them. Screenshots and videos of your games are welcome, including in monetized streams.

2. No accounts, yet

The game has no accounts. Your saves and campaign progress live in your browser or on your computer, and we cannot recover them for you. You must be 13 or older to play multiplayer. If accounts or purchases are introduced later, these terms will be updated and the new date shown above.

3. Fair play and conduct

Don't cheat, automate play, attack the service, or use the lobby chat to harass, threaten or discriminate. Display names must not impersonate others or contain abuse. We may close rooms, block players who break these rules, and report unlawful behavior to the authorities.

4. The Windows app

The installer is provided as is. It updates itself by downloading new versions from our servers; you can decline an update in the app. It hosts games on your local network when you use LAN play; you are responsible for who you let join.

5. Availability

The game is provided as is and is in active development. We work to keep it running and to keep games fair, but we don't promise it will be available at all times, that a multiplayer game will never be interrupted, or that the AI will never make a foolish move. We may change the rules, missions and features as the game develops, and we may end the online service with reasonable notice.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from playing, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (today, nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Privacy

How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above. Questions and requests: the address below. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
