Descriptions
One line
A 4X space strategy game of colonies, fleets and a galaxy that fights back, with a 31-mission campaign about the thing humanity found when it went looking for its makers.
One paragraph
Nova's Dominion puts you in command of a single star and a small garrison. Build mining rings, solar arrays and shipyards to turn territory into an economy; send fleets down the routes between stars and outnumber the defenders to claim them. The map does not sit still: wormholes open shortcuts and collapse again, and dying stars go supernova and take their systems with them. Play skirmishes against an AI that expands and attacks at four difficulties, host a room for up to ten players and AI opponents online, or follow the campaign, Seeds of Ruin, in which humanity's search for its origins ends with the Kith, a harvest returning to collect its crop. Free in the browser, with a Windows build for LAN play.
One page
Nova's Dominion is a 4X strategy game set in a procedurally generated galaxy. Every star is a colony to develop or a target to take. Six structures shape an economy: mining rings and solar arrays produce minerals and energy, research hubs feed a 14-upgrade technology tree, shipyards grow your garrison turn by turn, shield generators harden a front line, and comm arrays link your empire. Fleets travel the routes between stars; combat is resolved by strength, defender advantage and technology, and every battle is written to a log you can read back.
The galaxy is an opponent in itself. Wormholes open and collapse, offering shortcuts across the map to whoever dares use them. Stars flare with warning before going supernova, destroying everything in the system and leaving a remnant. Fog of war hides what you have not scouted. Routes can be charted at a cost to open new lines of attack.
Skirmish generates a fresh galaxy each game, in five shapes and any size, against an AI that builds, expands and attacks at Easy, Normal, Hard or Brutal. Multiplayer supports up to ten players in a room, in free-for-all or teams, with AI filling empty seats; players pick starting stars in turn, then the host launches. The browser version needs no install or account. The Windows build runs offline, hosts LAN games for friends on the same network, and updates itself.
The campaign, Seeds of Ruin, is 31 missions in five acts. Humanity has spent centuries searching for whoever placed it among the stars. The answer is the Kith: human in body, fused into a hive network, and returning not to fight but to harvest. Objectives, scripted events, reinforcements, a betrayal in the fourth act and a final choice with three authored endings carry the story from a training sector to the heart of the Root.
